This is a non album track..it was written during the sessions for "In The Year 3073 - Book I"...while writing the songs i was still uncertain how far back in the story i wanted to go with Book I...after much thought I decided that this song went a little too far back in the story, as it tell of some of the early warning signs the planet had.

Early morning before light
The ground beneath my feet began to shake
Without a warning came a sound
The sirens could be heard through out the town

The shelters below
Would soon overflow
With people who fled from their homes

Above the streets began to break
Trapping all the cars that failed to leave
The screams of the children
Filled my ears
The world that they loved
It would soon disappear

The shelters below
Have now overflowed
With people who lost everything

The deed is done
And the piper has come
To claim all the souls in the wake
Don't look in his eyes
Cos he knows all your lies
You've run out of time in this game

Now the sun begins to set
The horror of the day we won't forget
The things that we've lost
Have come with a cost
Lets hope that there's time for a change.

The shelters are bare
The people despair
They don't see a future ahead
